A woman who was alleged to have been in a love relationship with a murdered school head teacher has denied the allegations.
The incident happened seven years ago – when the wife of the head teacher hired hit men to kill her husband whom she accused of dating a woman who worked at an MPESA shop in Murang’a.
Margaret was an M-Pesa agent at Kiria ini market in Mathioya, Murang’a County.
Margaret has denied dating the late Solomon Mwangi Mbuthi, who was the principal at Kiru Boys High School.
Solomon was murdered in cold blood by men hired by his wife Jane Muthoni Mbuthi.
Jane who is servicing 30 years for the murder, was at the time a principal at Icaciri Secondary School in Gatundu, Kiambu County.
“Solomon was one of the many male clients who came for mobile money transfer services at my premises. There was no connection as people alleged,” Margaret told The Nairobian.
According to Margaret, Jane had called and warned her to stop the playing with her husband Solomon.
Solomon was reported missing on November 7, 2016, the day he was expected to collect KCSE materials at Mathioya KNEC depot.
Jane was sentenced in 2021. The co-accused, the alleged hitman was sentenced to serve seven years in prison.
