A man died on Tuesday after he was crashed by a sugarcane truck.
Reports indicate that the man was trying to pull sugarcane from the moving truck only to be sucked and crashed to death.
The incident happened at the Kachok-Kondele bypass.
Nyanza Regional traffic boss Joseph Ng’ang’a confirmed the incident.
According to Ng’ang’a, the man died on the spot.
The momentum of the truck is said to have pulled him at which point he was crushed to death.
Reports indicate that youth and children in the area often chase after passing sugarcane trucks to steal the juicy cane sticks.
The truck was transporting cane to Kabras sugar company in Western Kenya.
