The former Prime Minister, Mr. Raila Odinga has revealed how he came to unearth data from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) servers.
“I did not want to talk about the results and elections, I could have been seen to be lamenting a lot. “I had to look for ethical hackers to know the truth,” said Raila on Monday while speaking on Ramogi TV.
Raila said that he worked with ‘ethical hackers’ in an attempt to gather details from IEBC as proof that his victory had been stolen.
According to Raila, a whistleblower from IEBC gave him the actual presidential election numbers – which showed that he won the election with more than 2.2 million votes.
Raila said: “Out team got the hackers from abroad, and they came with their machines. They had to go as far as Athi River, Kajiado and Kiambu, that’s because they were being tracked.”
“Ruto got 5.9 million while Azimio got 8.1 million. We won the last election with a margin of 2.2 million,” claimed Raila.
In the results announced by IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati, William Ruto beat Raila after garnering 7.2 million votes against Raila’s 6.9 million votes.
