Pastor Ezekiel Odero Wins Big Against Government

MH Reporter

Pastor Ezekiel Odero has scored a major win against the government as he fights to free his name in connection with the killings at the Shakahola forest.

So far, over 220 bodies have been discovered buried in the Shakahola forest.

Police had arrested Pastor Ezekiel who is alleged to have been working closely with Pastor Paul Mackenzie on whose land the bodies were found buried.

Ezekiel has vehemently denied any association with Mackenzie – noting that the only dealings they ever had was when he bought his TV station for Sh500,000.

The government on May 8 froze five bank accounts belonging to Pastor Ezekiel.

The accounts were held at the Cooperative, NCBA, Equity, KCB and HFC banks.

On Monday 22, the courts have ordered the government to unfreeze the bank accounts belonging to the preacher.

Ezekiel’s lawyers argued that none of the five bank accounts are in the name of Pastor Ezekiel.

The banks are in the name of his church and his school.

Pastor Ezekiel can now access his accounts.
