Thousands of teachers are worried after learning that the contracted hospital health insurance provider MINET had in some instances suspended cover for their dependents without informing them.
The has become a hot potato issues among teachers – with many wondering where there help will come from.
“They suspend some of the dependents from the cover with very weak excuses,” said one of the affected teachers.
“My dependents were suspended and told to upload their documents afresh,” added another teacher.
Others said they would go to a hospital with their ailing children only to be told that their cover for the dependents had been suspended.
Many are now asking the insurer to at least communicate to their early and give proper reasons for the same – instead of them walking into the hospital only to meet the shock of their lives.
