Madam PS: Three Girls Who Beat 9,500 Applicants to Join Ruto Govt

Many people may not have noticed this – but it happened on Wednesday night.

Three young women sat down to discuss important issues on Citizen TV JKL Live show. The three were among the Principal Secretaries appointed into various ministries in the Kenya Kwanza Government.

The three are Principal Secretaries in various ministries of the government of Kenya – and they did fine.

The discussion was not the usual political noise Kenyans have become accustomed.

The three girls showed maturity, level-headedness, deep understanding of issues, proper articulation of issues and passion for the work.

 

Roseline Njogu

The boy-child must be shaking in their boots after listening to Roseline Njogu, the current Principal Secretary, State Department for Diaspora Affairs, Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs talk.

She is the first-ever PS for Diaspora Affairs her main duty being to ensure Kenyans living abroad get good services from the government.

Rosa is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, has a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from Harvard Law School, and a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from the University of Nairobi, she is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from Strathmore University – and currently a PhD Candidate at the University of Nairobi.

Silvia Museiya

Ms. Museiya is soft spoken and beautiful. She was recently appointed Principal Secretary, State Department for Wildlife. She previously taught English/Literature and History/Government at State House Girls’ High school and Laikipia Air Base Mixed Secondary School.

At less than 35-years of age – and having graduated with a Bachelors of Education (B.Ed.) from the University of Nairobi in 2011 – she is doing quite fine. Ms. Museiya also holds a Bachelors of Law (LL. B) from the University of Nairobi; a Diploma in human Rights and International Advocacy from Colombia University, New York School of Law and she is an alumnus of Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) 2007.

Silvia was once a Member of County Assembly (MCA) in the Nairobi City County Assembly.  She was also a running mate to Hon. Thuita Mwangi Gubernatorial Jubilee party primaries for Laikipia County in 2017.

Ummi Bashir

Ummi is the current Principal Secretary of Culture and Heritage in the Ministry of Tourism. She has a Bachelor of laws degree (LLB) from the University of Nairobi. She has over 11 years’ experience as a practicing lawyer, she has worked with the United Nation (UN), the County government, and has wide experience in humanitarian world.
