MP Issues Statement On Kitengela Killings, Wants All Police Transferred

Kajiado East MP Tobiko Peris Pesi wants all police officers in Kitengela transferred following the brutal killing of four young men in the area on August 8, 2021.

Tobiko said that life is sacred and the sanctity of life is cardinal, adding that there was no justification whatsoever to take life of these young people.

She condemned the acts of lawlessness, kidnappings, killings, hooliganism that have been rampart in the area, and demanded answers from the Cabinet Secretary in charge of internal security.

“Where were the police when this was happening? Where was the entire county security when this was happening Bwana CS?” wondered Tobiko.

She further accused the police of taking advantage of the prevailing curfew to collect money from bar operators, and other Kenyans caught up in traffic jam due to the delays occasioned by the ongoing construction of the Nairobi Express way.

“Our children today have Tattoos, keep dreadlocks, ride sport bikes and party with friends. Does this make them criminals?

“I demand speedy investigations into the murders.

“I also demand a complete transfer of police officers in Kitengela due to their ineptitude and inaction,” said Tobiko in her statement.
