Chidzuga to be buried in Kwale at 2pm

Former Kwale Woman Representative Zainab Kalekye Chidzuga is set to buried in Kwale today, Friday, August 13, at 2pm.

The body of Ms Chidzuga will be airlifted body to be airlifted to Kwale at 10am from Wilson airport in Nairobi on a Kenya Wildlife Service chopper.

Ms Chidzuga died on Thusday, August 12, at a hospital in Nairobi’s South C area, where she had been admitted.

Burial programme

1) 10am – body airlifted from Wilson airport
2) 11am- Cortege arrives at the deceased’s home in Golini, Kwale
3) 1245hrs-1300hrs- prayers, Imam Kwale Mosque
4) 1330hrs-1400hrs – burial
5) 1400hrs- 1430hrs- addressing Mourners

Chidzuga who is a former chairperson of Kwale Maendeleo Ya Wanawake Organisation, is the mother of  former KTN news anchor Mwanaisha Chidzuga.

As a leader, Chidzuga helped uplift the welfare of women in Kwale County and across the country through her many initiatives.

She was mourned by politicians as dedicated leader who fought for representation of women in Kenyan political space. Here is what leaders said after hr demise.
