Sportpesa CEO Ronald Karauri has announced that he will be vying for the Member of Parliament for Kasarani seat in the coming general election.
The jovial, flashy former pilot at Kenya Airways made the announcement on Wednesday, February 9.
Karauri is known as the man who grew SportPesa from a small struggling company into East Africa’s largest betting firm.
The son of former Tigania East MP Mathew Adams Karauri is arguably one of the richest top bosses in the multi-billion shillings gaming and betting industry in Kenya.
The billionaire is known for his love for cars, with some of his rides being a black Overfinch Range Rover, a Rolls-Royce, a Bentley Continental GT Speed and a Maybach S600 among others.
