18-Month-Old Child Who Has Been Missing For Days Found Inside a Well

A sober mood has engulfed residents of Lumuli village Webuye East constituency in Bungoma county after a body of a once lost child was found inside a well.

The deceased, Jayden Alubengo, was reported to have disappeared on Sunday evening.

According to Jayden’s mother, Antoninah Barasa she was informed of the discovery of her son’s body by a neighbour who had gone to draw water from the well.

“We were with him in the market, he suddenly disappeared. Our efforts trying to find him has been fruitless,” said Barasa.

“As a neighbour was fetching water, she spotted someone’s body,” said Barasa.

With the help of police officers, the body was removed from the pit.

Elsewhere, residents of Kamba village in Kanduyi constituency, Bungoma county have not yet come to terms after a 10-year-old pupil draw into the water as he was swimming.

The deceased, a grade two pupil met his death at river Chwele yesterday evening after being overpowered by the flooding water.

According to Hellen Wanyama his grandmother, she says, the deceased left home going to the river to swim and drowned in the process.

The body has since been retrieved but those who did it are demanding for their pay that the family is unable to raise.
