Kenyan Bettors Celebrate After SportPesa Latest Move

BY PETER KARANJA

Kenya’s biggest betting brand SportPesa has cut it’s stake by 80 per cent to Ksh10 in a move aimed at enhancing customer experience.

The company has also introduced free SMS bets as part of it’s customer offering.

This simply means that SportPesa customers who opt to place their stakes through SMS will not be charged a dime for the cost of sending the text.

It will now cost punters as little as Ksh10 to place a bet on SportPesa platform.
The 80 per cent stake reduction will apply to all bets except the company’s jackpots which will still cost Ksh99/= per stake.

“This is in response to requests by our customers on new offerings that they can engage in on our platform. It is simply us telling the customer that we are listening and this is just the beginning of what else is to come,” said SportPesa CEO Capt. Ronald Karauri.

“Our innovation team is working hard to give the customers an exciting and convenient user experience. There is more to come,’ added Karauri.

SportPesa has introduced a wide range of enhanced products for maximum customer experience since it resumed business in October 2020 – and many are loving it.

Some of the new products SportPesa has introduced in its menu include lucky numbers and the Casino games – which are have kept punters engaged by allowing them to still place bets on their favourite games other than the popular top league football matches – especially when major leagues take a break.
