Billions Wasted? Chelsea Star Lukaku Wants to Leave

BY MWANAHABARI REPORTER

Chelsea striker ROMELU LUKAKU has told the media that he has no intention of continuing playing for THOMA TUCHEL after raising issues with his tactics.

The striker told an Italian TV that his move to Chelsea was an astronomical mistake – and wished he had not left Italian football giants Inter Milan.

“Tuchel has chosen to play with another system – I won’t give up, I’ll be professional.

“I am not happy with the situation but I am professional – and I can’t give up now.”

“I think everything that happened last summer was not supposed to happen like this… how I left Inter, the way I left the club, how I communicated with Inter fans –  this bothers me because it was not the right time.

“Now it’s the right time to share my feelings. I have always said that I have Inter in my heart: I know I will RETURN to Inter, I really hope so.

“I am in love with Italy, this is the right moment to talk and let people know what really happened.

“I really hope from bottom of my heart to return to Inter not at the end of my career, but when I’m still at top level to win more together”.

“I want apologize to the Inter fan, the timing of my words was wrong: what you did for me will remain forever.”

Lukaku 28, helped Inter Milan to win their first Serie A title in 11 years with 24 league goals last season – and had become a cult name at the club before his former club Chelsea came knocking on his doors.

Lukaku who had a had a disastrous spell at Chelsea as a young man jumped at the opportunity -perhaps keen to prove something to the world.

It is unfortunate that Lukaku, who has scored five goals so far in the Premier League, feels this way about Tuchel and Chelsea – and even went ahead to make his real feelings known through the media.

Lukaku has scored five goals in eight Premier League starts for the Blues this term.

It is however fair to say that his performance has been curtailed by Covid-19 infection and a string of injuries.

Most of his appearance has been from the bench.

Tuchel has maintained that Lukaku is a “super important player” to his plans.
