A father, his lovely wife and two children died on Saturday, December 25, in a grisly road accident along the busy Nairobi – Mombasa highway.
The family was inside a blue Subaru Legacy headed towards Nairobi when their vehicle collided head-on with a MBW car that was headed in the opposite direction.
Three occupants who were inside the BMW also died on the spot in the accident which occurred near the Engwata Macknon Road along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway.
Officers from Macknon Road Police station aid that a total of seven fatalities were reported following the crash.
Sources told Mwanahabari that the BMW car burst into flames following the impact – trapping its occupants inside.
The police said that two other passengers were rushed to Moi Referral Hospital in Voi after sustaining serious injuries.
