Uhuru in Stitches After Gov Martin Wambora Forgets His Speech

Embu County governor Martin Wambora left President Uhuru Kenyatta in stitches after he forgot his speech inside a car.

Wambora who was speaking on behalf of the Council of Governors during the Universal health care Launch in  Changamwe, Mombasa was shocked to learn that he did not have his speech with him.

Instead, he had carried the wrong speech to an event launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“One minute your excellency I will only take a minute. I always take only one minute…. utmost two minutes.

As he began his speech, Wamburu appeared to fumble after learning that he had carried the wrong speech.

He began his speech saying: “On behalf of the council of governors, I take this opportunity to express my pleasure to be part of this national launch… from the onset…

The governor then realised that he could not fake it. any longer… and so he confessed to the President that he had forgotten his speech… and that what he was reading was not the right speech.

“Your excellency… hii ni ile nilisom kule. Hiyo ingine…. nilisahau kwa gari ya Minister for health (Mutahi Kagwe),” said Wambora amid laughter.

Wambora went on to search for the speech in his suitcase… but did not get it…

He then returned to the microphone and issued a hurried unwritten speech that lasted two minutes.

The incident left the guests.., including Uhuru Kenyatta in stitches.
