Raila Odinga on Wednesday evening, December 8, 2021 – made it clear that he had gatecrashed a Mouth Kenya Foundation (MKF) luncheon that went down in Nairobi.

The Orange Democratic (ODM) leader who is eyeing the Presidency in 2022 said he had been invited to the event by MKF Vice Chairperson Mr Peter Ibui.

“The Vice chair Mr Ibui is the one who told me you will have a luncheon here to brainstorm.  I did not gatecrash.”

“That is why I have come together with my deputy party leader Mombasa governor Hassan Joho, Sen. Orengo, Dr, Nyikal, Sec Gen Sifuna, MP for Saboti, Junet Mohamed, Exec Dir, Angwen, former Gem MP Joe Donde.”

Raila who has enjoyed massive support from the Mount Kenya business moguls with deep pockets is keen to use the endorsement to cling a slippery Mt Kenya – and win votes.

The  Mount Kenya Foundation comprises tycoons from the Mount Kenya – people with a significant say on the presidential candidate the region will back.

The group which has a war chest worth billions ready to support choice candidate has been holding meetings with a number of presidential aspirants to listen to their agenda has settled on Raila Odinga.

“I want to promote the private sector. Public sector only employs at best 700,000 people. Those positions are not vacant. Vacancies only occur through retirement and death…that’s about 10 per cent.”

“Those are the only vacancies available in the public secret..about 70,000. But from our schools, every year, 1 million people are leaving school against 70k vacancies…those are peanuts,” said Raila.

Adding: “In developed economies, people don’t go knocking on Govt doors. It’s more lucrative working for private sector than a secretary in a ministry.”

Raila accused of gatecrashing kalonzo event

Kaiti claimed that Raila showed up at Thwake in Makueni County on that Friday, July 9, and without any invitation.

Raila surprised many local leaders and the Wiper leader after jetting in a few minutes after President Uhuru Kenyatta’s arrival.

“We have no problem with Mr Odinga gatecrashing, but he must know that if they are to work together with Wiper then let him accept to second Musyoka,” Kimilu had noted.

A furious Raila refused to address the people at the event following Kaiti’s abrasive comments.
