Postmortem examination conducted by government pathologist Johansen Oduor at Kenyatta University Funeral Home has confirmed that businessman Jonathan Mukundi and his estranged wife Philomena Njeri died from gunshot wounds.
The report also showed that Purity who was shot dead by her husband Mukundi was not pregnant at the time of her untimely death.
The report has subsequently ended speculation that Mukundi may have killed his wife of 12 years after he discovered that she was pregnant for another man.
According to the report, Njeri, had four gunshot wounds; two in the head and two in other parts of the body.
Her husband Mukundi, 42, had only a single gunshot wound to the head; with the bullet having entered from the left side, rupturing his brain.
According to close friends and relatives, the two had a difficult marriage which saw them quarrel every so often over childlessness.
