Pronounced dead

According to the report, Wanjiru was pronounced dead on arrival at Nairobi hospital.

Wanjiru came into the spotlight early this year after claims that she had been married to two junior officers surfaced online.

It however emerged that she was not married to two officers, but that she had dissolved her first marriage in 2010 before moving in with another officer.

Divorced first husband

“The alleged assault case was reported at Kikuyu police station,” the source disclosed.

During the divorce hearings, Wanjiru had alleged that she had received threats after filing for divorce from her husband. The allegations were however disputed in court as her alleged husband asked her to table evidence of her claims in court.

The court dissolved the marriage in 2010 stating thus: “It is ordered that the marriage celebrated between Waiganjo and Murimi on September 18, 2012, be and is hereby dissolved.”

Police have begun investigating the death of the officer.
