Nyatike Man Linked to Death Of Form Four Girl Found Dead

A young man in his mid-twenties, and who is linked to the brutal murder of a Form Four girl was on Thursday, July 29, found dead inside a neighbour’s house.

Evance Juma who is alleged to have sent text messages to his mother informing her his impending death was a suspect in the murder of a female student at St.Sabinus Owich secondary school in Nyatike.

Investigations had revealed that the young woman was killed and her body discovered dumped in the bushes on Wednesday, July 28.

Her body was discovered by a resident who had gone out to fetch firewood.

Juma’s body was found dangling on a rope inside his neighbour’s house on Thursday, deepening the murder mystery further.

Area chief Jane Kosome confirmed the incident.

The chief also noted that the police had ruled out suicide as the possible cause of Juma’s death, even though his body was found hanging.

That it is possible the murder suspect may have been killed and the suicide incident staged.

Juma is said to have written short messages to his mother informing her about his intention to commit suicide.

He allegedly wrote: “Mum, I’m dead, and you will never see me again. Please take good care of my siblings”.

The body was taken to Migori county referral hospital morgue pending autopsy.
