Nairobi Children’s Killer Narrates What He did to Victims

Masten Milimo Wanjala has shocked Kenyans after disclosing how he kidnapped and killed 10 children.

According to Wanjala, he drugged his victims before sucking blood from their veins, adding that he carried out his devilish schemes without any help.

The murderer also told the police that he had documented the killings in a book . He has since handed the book to the police.

The confessions have left parents scratching their heads; wondering how to protect their children from such people.

The book indicates the date on which each child disappearances and how he executed them. The 25-year-old suspect appeared before the Makadara court on Thursday, July 15, 2021.

Witchcraft

The police will hold him for the next 30 days as they continue with their investigations. The police believe the suspect who appeared unapologetic, may have been into witchcraft, or a cult of sort.

“The man is unapologetic and told detectives he derived a lot of pleasure from killing his victims,” a police officer told the media.

“When I killed the child back in the village, I took some concoction, that is what drives me to kill,” Wafula said.

Playing football

Wafula told the police that he first befriended the children on playing grounds (kicking football) before luring them – and killing them. He would commute from Kitengela to Eastleigh to play football with boys from the neighbourhood where he would befriend children to win their trust.

“That is how he befriended some of his victims and won their trust, before he started luring them to their deaths,” police said.

Wanjala was arrested on Tuesday, July 14, for kidnapping and subsequent murder of two children who went missing in Nairobi’s Buru estate. After his arrest, Wanjala led detectives to where he had buried the bodies of 13-year-old Charles Opindo and 12-year-old Junior Mutuku. The bodies were found on Wednesday, July 14.

Wanjala who confessed to killing the two children told the police that he had killed at least 10 children in a span of a few years – adding that he had committed his first murder when he was only 15 years old.

Innocent boy and girl

A statement from the DCI read thus: “The predator was barely 16, when he executed his first victim five years ago. Purity Maweu, a 12-year-old girl was the first to fall prey to the killer. The young girl was kidnapped from Kiima Kimwe in Machakos and her blood sucked by the killer, before being left for dead.

“Three years later in Kamukuywa, Kimilili, a 13-year-old boy only identified as Aron, was brutally murdered by the killer, who recounted to detectives the gory details of how he killed the innocent boy. Aron’s killing led to protests in Kamukuywa, with residents torching a house belonging to a person whom they suspected to have killed the boy.”
