Controversial political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi was last night left counting losses after his giant mansion went up in flames.
Pictures taken at the scene showed the magnificent house swallowed in a conflagration with dense smoke bellowing from the upper part of the building.
Mutahi who had lived in the house for 27 years confirmed the incident on Twitter.
It is not clear what may have caused the fire, neither do we know if there any casualties.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, July 14, Ngunyi said the fire started at 1.45 am.
Ngunyi claimed that his house burnt down after he made controversial statements regarding the 2007/2008 post-election violence in Kiambaa.
