Liverpool star Sadio Mado has made it clear that he is not cut out for a flashy lifestyle even though he makes tons of millions as a football in England.
“I don’t want to give the impression that I’m a very critical person, but it’s true that there are values in football that irritate me a little because of the upbringing I had,” Mane said after he asked to comment about the lifestyle of Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and other highflying stars.
A modest Mane is known for his frugal yet philanthropic life as a footballer.
“Instead of criticising, I prefer to distance myself. The main thing is not to change, and I believe I didn’t. For a boy who comes from a small town, it’s a great victory.”
That kind of glam, fast-paced life ‘irritates’ him – Mane told French publication, L’Equipe.
Asked about the possibility of joining the Ronaldo or Neymar ranks, Mane said.
“No!I follow them on social networks and that’s enough. I love the incredible life they lead, but I don’t think it’s for me.”
