Citizen TV presenter Lilian Muli was on Sunday, September 12 unveiled as Victoria Rubadiri’s replacement in the Sunday Live team.
The announcement came at a time when Citizen is seeking to anchor its hold in the TV scene with the launch of Ramogi TV soon.
Muli replaced Rubadiri who has left the ountry for the UK for a three-month placement at the BBC Academy before joining BBC News teams.
Rubadiri will be working and at the same time learning as part of the Komla Dumor Award she won in 2020.
Welcoming Lilian Muli the Sunday Live team Jeff Koinange said:
“Victora Rubadiri is off on assignment, joining us tonight…and wearing navy blue, she got the memo…our very own Lilian Muli. Good to see you, welcome to Sunday Live, are you nervous?” Jeff asked she responded, “I’ll be fine.”
Lilian Muli will join a list of other names who have hosted Sunday Live; the likes of Julie Gichuru, Anne Kiguta, Rubadiri, Hussein Mohammed and Jeff Koinange.
Muli, a mother of two, already enjoys a wonderful relationship with her fans – and has always taken time to engage her followers in a Q&A sessions on her social media platforms.
She has never shied away from answering even seemingly personal questions that many celebrities would cringe if asked.
The sassy TV presenter is a gifted hand – and will have no trouble filling Rubadiri’s giant shoes as she has proven that she has the skin and wit to survive in a competitive news room like Royal Media Services.
The shift to Sunday Live will be an added star to Muli’s stellar career in the media.
