All students who sat for their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) that just concluded last week will receive their results next week.
The announcement was made by Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha.
The 2021 KCPE exams administered by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) went on through all the 28,248 exam centres across the country.
A total of 1,225,507 pupils sat for the national exams countrywide.
DID YOU KNOW
- The first KCPE exam was administered in 1985 when the 8-4-4 system was introduced. It was in the same year that KCSE was introduced in Kenya.
- KCPE exams takes three days to administer – with students sitting for five (5) subjects each with a maximum of 100 marks.
- The first education system in Kenya after independence was 7-4-2-3, but was replaced with 8-4-4 system in 1985.
