The decaying body of a 35-year-old woman was found inside her house in Nairobi’s Kayole area.
According to the police, the body which was found lying in the bedroom had visible knife wounds.
Police are looking for the woman’s 19-year-old son to help with the investigations.
The woman is said to have been living with her son in the same house (in their own compound) – and therefore the son could be in a position to explain what transpired in the house.
The son cannot be traced.
Nyumba Kumi Chairman Esra Odeyo said that the woman’s daughter raised alarm after she tried to reach her on phone in vain.
Police officers from Kwa Maji Police Post had to break the door to enter the house after the daughter reported the incident.
The body was taken to the mortuary.
