Kangogo’s Parents Wish Their Sweet Daughter Had Surrendered

The death of Corporal Caroline Kangogo on July 16 has left the family feeling distraught.

Kangogo, who was wanted for the murder of police officer John Ogweno and businessman Peter Ndwiga on July 5, allegedly committed suicide by shooting herself on the chin – inside her parents’ bathroom.

The parents have opened up about their only wish before their daughter committed suicide – an appeal any parent would have no matter the situation their children find themselves in. It’s the typical mother hen love.

If only she had surrendered

The family through their lawyer Robert Kipkorir, who is also the policewoman’s uncle, said that their hope was that their daughter would come forward and clear the air over the atrocities that she had been accused of.

“We had appealed to her to surrender to any police station, but we are disturbed that she instead decided to take away her life,” Kipkorir said.

Kangogo’s mother Leah found her daughter’s lifeless body lying in her bathroom on the morning of July 16.

Plans are now underway for her burial. She had asked to be buried in her wedding gown.
