Gor Mahia goalkeeper Gad Mathews was the hero after saving two penalties during the FKF Shield CUP finals against AFC Leopards.
Four Gor players scored their penalties while two AFC Leopards had their penalties saved with the match ending in 4-1 in favour of KāOgalo.
The win means that Gor will represent Kenya in the CAF Confederation Cup – and get to walk away with Ksh2 million from the title sponsors.
Gor and Ingwe faced off at Nyayo Stadium as both teas sought to fight for the remaining continental ticket after Tusker FC won the Caf Champions League slot after finishing at the top of the league table by the end of June 30, as directed by the Football Kenya Federation.
