Former Harambee Stars Defender Zablon Amanaka was on Friday, May 28, 2021 found dead in his house in Nairobi.
The lanky defender was found dead in his house in Mwiki’s Maji Mazuri estate.
A number of Kenyans have shared their messages of condolences led by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF).
“We join the Kenyan football fraternity in mourning the death of former Harambee Stars defender Zablon Amanaka,” wrote FKF in a statement on social media.
“Our deepest condolences to family and friends of the late Zablon Amanaka. During his stay at the club, Amanaka served us diligently and passionately, indeed the sporting fraternity has lost a true icon,” stated Sofapaka football club in their message of condolence to the fallen defender.
Amanaka who played for Harabee Stars 15 times also played for Kenya Breweries (currently Tusker) AFC Leopards, Mahakama FC and Thika United.
