A total of 50 students have been rushed to hospital after fire broke out inside a dormitory at Ofafa Jericho High School in Nairobi. The fire broke out on Monday night, September 20.
Reports indicated that a number of students sustained injuries.
Police said that some of the students sustained injuries as they tried to salvage their belongings in the fire.
Principal Mathews Limge said that the fire that started around 8:30 pm with those injured taken to Metropolitan Hospital
“All the students are in stable condition and will soon be discharged, ” he said.
Other students were rushed to other surrounding health facilities.
The fire was contained by firefighters from Nairobi County.
