An autopsy done on murdered Bashir Mohamed Mahmoud has revealed that the Somali-American national was strangled to death.

According to the autopsy report, Bashir’s body had burns all over, his toenails had been plucked out. He also had trauma on the head consistent with being hit by a blunt object.
The businessman reportedly went missing last week in Nairobi, before his body was finally found in Kerugoya County.

The family positively identified the body.
“It is with heavy hearts that the family of Bashir Mohamed Mohamud informs you that the body was found earlier today at Kerugoya level 5 hospital,” the family lawyer Charles Madowo said in a statement.
Preliminary reports had shown that Bashir’s body had physical wounds, a sign that he might have been tortured to death.
The family has called on State agencies to arrest those behind his death.
“As the family processes this tragic news and plan for his burial, they request that they be afforded privacy,” the press statement appealed.
‘Even as Bashir rests, the family shall not rest until justice has been served and those responsible for his death brought to book,” it added.
