Churchill show comedian popularly known as MC Jesse has officially joined deputy President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
MC Jesse whose official name is Jasper Muthomi announced on Wednesday, January 19 that he had joined Ruto’s Hustler Nation.
The comedian is eying the Imenti South parliamentary seat in the coming elections slated for August 9, 2022 polls.
Jesse said: “It’s now clear where the vision is heading. After many days of consultative meetings with my South Imenti people, I have officially been invited to join UDA. The groundwork that has been done has finally landed on the side of the winning team.”
The comedian who hails from Egoji in Meru featured on ‘Churchill’ show and hosted ‘Churchill Raw’ that aired on NTV – before Corona disrupted the show.
He graduated in 2019 from Daystar University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, and is pursuing a Masters in Political Science.
It will be interesting to see how he fares in the race in the coming elections.
MC Jesse joins a host of other media personalities who have thrown their hats in the ring.
