It’s a magnificent building – and it resembles two crooked sticks in a bending competition. Who will bend furthest without breaking his back.
The design is one that questions the mind – like – how are the rooms inside this bended behemoth of beautifully curved concrete and glass.
Those who get a chance to observe the building from its base – get to see a completely different kind of beauty. It’s imposingly magnificent.
The CBK Pension Tower is located on Harambee Avenue – occupying the spot that had been home to Peugeot Marshalls for decades.
The 27 stories building has 6 basement levels – which means it has everything it takes to join the list of tall building in Kenya that rank over 25 stories in height.
The Sh2.49 billion building will have offices, offering retail and office space to private sector tenants. It will also accommodate a currency museum, conference facilities and support facilities.
The beautiful Architect was done by the Arprim Consortium – with the clients being Central Bank of Kenya Pension Fund.
The Civil/Structural Engineer was Shomax Consulting Engineers, Mechanical/Electrical Engineer done by Empaq Limited, Environmental Expert being Katrina Management
and the Quantity Surveyor being Arprim Consortium – it’s a job well done.
Some of the architectural works done by Arprim Consortium which does residential and institutional projects include Kenya School of Monetary Studies Apartments, Garden Estate Residential Villas which are situated in the leafy Garden Estate neighbourhood Nairobi.
