Over 15 Nairobi Estates in Darkness as KPLC Switches off Electricity

A number of estates in Nairobi have no electricity today Wednesday, August 25, 2021.

According to Kenya Power, this is due to the planned maintenance that will see the affected estates go without electricity for eight straight hours.

The blackout will run between 9.00am and 5.00pm.

Affected estates include Uhuru Gardens, Airport View Estate, Bible Society of Kenya, Miller Estate, and Blue Sky, Dam Estate, Dam II, Langata Barracks, KWS, House of Grace Church, White Star Academy, and Sailing Club along Lang’ata Road.

Also affected are estates around Carnivore, Phenom Estate, Tamarind Hotel, Carnivore Restaurant, Lang’ata Shopping Centre, Karting Club, and West Park Police will also suffer power interruptions.

The Southern By-pass, and estates along Shree Cutch Temple will also be affected.

Texas Cancer Centre, Jonathan Gloag Academy, Shell Petrol Station, AP Camp, Akiba Estate, Civil Servant Estate, and Funguo Estate are also affected.
