Police Share Kangogo’s Suicide Note

Police found a suicide note at the scene where Corporal Caroline Kagongo is alleged to have shot herself.

In the suicide note – said to have been drafted by Kangogo herself – she makes certain wishes to her parents.

She for instance asked her parents to bury her body at their home, and not her husband’s people in Kericho.

In the note, she reportedly explained why she killed the two men; a police officer and a security expert on July 5, 2021 before taking her own life.

Kabambe phone

The message was saved as a draft in her kabambe phone.

She also asked that she buried in her wedding dress saying she was not in good talking terms with her husband.

The note also contained details about alleged sexual harassment by an OCS in Nakuru.

She also noted that Peter Ndigwa whom she killed in July 5, swindled her Ksh2.7 million in a car deal. She didn’t say much about her colleague, John Ogweno, whom she killed in Kasarani Police Station. The note also indicated that she had issues with her father.

My husband

Caroline also disclosed that she intended to kill her husband, a senior police officer attached to the Maritime Police Unit in Mombasa with whom they have two children, aged 8 and 11.

A police report filed at Tambach Police Station reiterated that Kangogo committed suicide in the bathroom. Her mother Leah Kangogo found the body in the bathroom, just 40 meters from the main house.

“It was suspected that she might have shot herself below the chin using the firearm. The bullet exited on the head slightly above the left ear. At the scene was one Ceska pistol which was cocked and had a magazine loaded with 8 rounds of ammunition,” part of the police report read.
