Corporal Caroline Kangogo who has been on the run was today, Friday, July 16 found dead at her parent’s home.
Kangogo is alleged to have shot herself dead at her parents’ home in Elgeyo Marakwet county.
Rift Valley regional commissioner George Natembeya confirmed the incident.
She had been on the run for one week after she was suspected of killing Police Constable John Ogweno, in Nakuru and Juja businessman Peter Njiru Ndwiga on on July 5.
The police were approaching their search for Kangogo with utmost caution as she was a very skilled officer.
According to a team of malty-agency officers among them highly trained officers from the military apprehending officer Caroline could have easily degenerated into to bloodbath if she decides to engage the officers.
Caroline was a well-trained officer who boasted an array of skills ranging from gun handling, intelligence and combat skills.
She was also a revered sharpshooter within the police ranks.
Kangogo is alleged to have shot Ogweno, in Nakuru on July 5, before travelling to Kiambu where she shot dead 32-year-old Ndwiga inside a lodging in Juja, Kiambu.
