The police are approaching their search for their wanted colleague Caroline Kangogo with utmost caution.
According to a team of malty-agency officers among them highly trained officers from the military apprehending officer Caroline could easily degenerate into to bloodbath if she decides to engage the officers.
Boasts array of skills
Corporal Caroline who is wanted in connection with shooting and killing two men on July 5, is a well-trained officer who boasts an array of skills ranging from gun handling, intelligence and probably general basic skills in combat. These are skills you will expect an officer of her standing to possess.
Renowned sharpshooter
The officer who also studied counselling is a renowned sharpshooter within the police ranks, and could be tempted to demonstrate her skills against her colleagues sent to fetch her.
As the team continues its search for the officer who has so far managed to remain under the radar, they will have to employ every trick on the book to try and bring in the officer without any causalities being registered on either sides.
They want her alive – and that’s because she is still a suspect until proven guilty.
“She could still be in Nairobi but we are spreading the search in case she moves to these other places. We still want her to surrender and end this drama,” an officer in the search team said, adding that as much as they fear she may put up a fight – and which could lead to injuries or even deaths.
It is not every day that you hear police officers taking such precautions when trying to bring in a suspect – whether they are colleague or jut regular citizens.
Trigger-happy officers
In fact, our police officers are known the world over as one of the most trigger-happy police.
Kangogo is alleged to have shot Constable John Ogweno, in Nakuru on July 5, before she allegedly shot dead Peter Ndwiga Njiru, 32, inside a lodging in Juja, Kiambu. The two deaths occurred 200 kilometers apart.
