A teacher from Nyanza region has lost his job after he was de-registered by the Teacher’s Service Commission for having carnal knowledge of a 13-year-old minor who lived in his house.
The teacher was among those recently interdicted by the commission for a number of infractions among them immoral behaviour, criminal activities, indiscipline among other offences.
The little girl – who is his wife’s kid sister -had been put under his care by his in-laws.
Investigations revealed that the primary school girl had been molested for almost one year – but had not mastered the courage to tell on his uncle who kept buying her small gifts to buy her silence.
The matter came to the open after the minor suffered Urethral trauma which was occasioned by sustained forceful penetration over a period of time. The girl could not control her bladder.
“She developed some complications and could not control her bladder. So, her sister took her to the hospital for treatment. It was then that the doctor realized that the little girl had been sexually active – and had wounds in her private part,” a source close to the family told Mwanahabari.co.ke.
“The incident has divided the family right in the middle with the in-laws pushing to have their jobless son-in-law prosecuted and jailed,” added the source. Others are pushing to have the matter resolved at home.
The girl is said to have opened up after the doctor convinced her that she was safe… and that her uncle would never touch her again.
She went on to reveal how the teacher who raised her from age 4 years had forced himself on her so many times she could not count on one hand.
The teacher was subsequently arrested as officials conducted investigations into the incident – and was released on bond. The case is still active in court.
Officers from the Children’s Office have taken up the matter and are aggressively pushing to have mwalimu locked up for his sins.
“I sympathise with the girl. You can tell that she is mentally hurt. It’s a trauma that may never leave her memory,” added the source.
Scars in the urethra
Trauma to the anterior urethra is often from straddle injuries. This can occur with a sharp blow to the perineum and can lead to scars in the urethra.
Urethral injuries are linked to pelvic fractures or cuts, tears, or direct trauma to the body near the vagina. It can also result from objects piercing the sex organs or pelvis.
