A village is in mourning after teenager hit his father with a club killing him for allegedly selling his cock without consent.
The youth is said to have lost his head after he arrived home only to find that his father had sold his beloved cock.
The young lad reportedly confronted his father and demanded to know why he had sold the cock without his permission.
According to area chief Sarah Sigey, an argument is said to have ensued leading to a fight. It was then that the son reached for a club and clobbered his father on the head several times.
Sources indicate that the 50-year-old man was rushed to Londiani Sub-county hospital for treatment by neighbours who ran to his rescue after hearing the commotion.
Unfortunately, the old man was pronounced dead at the hospital having succumbed to his injuries.
The student surrendered himself to the Londiani police station after learning of his father’s unfortunate death.
The body is currently at the St. Joseph hospital mortuary in Molo. Police have since launched investigations into the incident even as the suspect remains in custody awaiting to be arraigned in court.
